About Me

I live in Durham, NC with my 2 cats who would rather not live together, a cute dog with a belly rub addiction, my very own picky eater, a kitchen garden, and more slow cookers than any one person should own.

My first cookbook, The Vegan Slow Cooker, is being published the fall of 2011 by Fair Winds Press.  (But it’s available for pre-order now.)

I write another blog,  Busy Vegan, which is all non-slow cooker vegan recipes. I also do freelance writing and recipe development. Please contact me if you would like to know more about my services.

Please use the contact form to get in touch with me, though I get all the post comments as well. If all else fails you can email me directly at kathyhester [at] gmail [dot] com.

  11. I want to start using a slow cooker but
I am a little leery of the “lead in the glaze” factor. I am feeding three small growing brains so I am looking for something guaranteed not to have lead in it and not just “within restrictions” Do you have any info on this? Thanks–M

    Really like your site!!

  12. Hi,

I’d like discuss connect with you next week to discuss a partnership with your blog.

    Which day works for you?

  13. Remember you have a wider focus and range of topics therefore you also have
a reader base with more wide ranging interests as well.
The discussion above focuses on 3 aspects you’ll definitely
need to consider even before you start blogging if you’re serious about your goals.
